Course Details
In this course, students are introduced to concepts of health and wellness. The course presents the dimensions and determinants of health and wellness, and encourages students to adopt healthy lifestyle choices. Through group discussion, self- reflection, research and investigation into community resources, students develop skills to evaluate and use health information. Topics such as the determinants of health, mental health, stress, anxiety, chronic diseases, infections, alcohol, tobacco and drug use, aging and living in a healthy environment are discussed.
