Course Details
This course examines the six classes of nutrients: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. Additional areas of study include the digestion and absorption of nutrients, healthy eating across the human lifespan, weight management and diets. Special emphasis is placed on studying and utilizing Canadian resources such as Canada’s Food Guide for Healthy Eating and nutrition recommendations for Canadians.
