One of the key pillars of success for any business is a healthy financial bottom line. This online course breaks down the key components required for financial success through a practical and hands on learning approach. The course build up includes understanding accounting transactions and utilizing methods to calculate and control common costs (food, labour, and other costs). Students will then create operational budgets, revenue and expense forecasts, income statements, and balance sheets. Interpreting and analyzing these financial statements include key industry ratios, variance trend analysis, and KPI's in order to create positive operational strategies to impact financial expectations, success and decision making. Capital expenditures and other ROI considerations on the financial bottom line are also explored.
