Sports and entertainment events have always been at the forefront of captivating audiences. Whether it's a Raptors game at the ACC or an afternoon jazz festival in a city park, a meticulous level of planning is required for the event to run smoothly and to engage the spectators. In this course, you will focus on planning and executing entertainment and sport-related events for communities and organizations. You will examine the sports and entertainment landscape in Canada at various levels to produce appropriate live events. Additional topics include: volunteer management, establishing and working with organizing committees, booking talent, and fundraising.
Prerequisite(s): PRDS 105 Public Relations - Introduction and PRDS 165 Event Planning - Theory and Practice
Credential: This course is eligible for Event Management Certificate.
