The majority of public events in a city like Toronto are sponsored, either by corporations or different branches of government. These events must also be promoted and advertised in order to attract the right audience, increase participation and attendance, and gain public support. In this course, you will learn how to build relationships with sponsors and promote events through advertising and media-relations tactics. You will also explore other promotional strategies beyond advertising, including invitations, brochures and conference programs. Learn how to get sponsors involved by exploring product launches, fundraisers, galas and charitable initiatives. This course is essential for anyone who wants to take event planning to the next level.
