This course introduces the student to assessment and management of common breastfeeding concerns in the mother's initial learning process. Students will be encouraged to critically examine their breastfeeding knowledge base, attitudes, and biases. Discussions will be based on current research findings. Emphasis is placed on examining how to establish a baby-friendly environment in the hospital and community.
