Botany, a branch of biology, encompasses scientific study of plant life. Observation and study emphasizes plants remarkable adaptations to the environment and their ecological relationships. The topics will be examined as they relate to horticulture. These include: classification, function, structure, development, physiology and processes. Presented in an engaging style, this course is eligible to meet the requirement for one science credit in major programs, i.e. Teacher Education.
